Moving to Third Grade

So, I know it is summer and as teachers this is our time of rest. With a new classroom, new grade level with new curriculum I cannot stop thinking about school. I previously have taught kindergarten, first grade, second grade and I briefly taught in a 4/5 class in the very beginning of my teaching career. So this year I was asked to move to third grade and so my stuff is in boxes and I cannot wait to reorganize. So, in my spare time I have been looking for third grade ideas. I came across teacher blogs and they have been extremely helpful. I got new ideas about organization, labels, classroom libraries, homework and there are so many ideas that I had to make a list. So, maybe I can share my ideas about setting up my classroom...

The Marias

So the past two years I have worked at Killip Elementary and I have been fortunate to work with great people. This is Maria Sheryl(mentor), Maria Mary (me,mentee), Maria Gloria (the queen) and Maria Jerry(wild woman). These are the people I will miss seeing the most. I guess you could say I saw them the most. The not only were great people to work with, but extremely supportive nice people. They treat everyone like family and taught me that there are people in the world that are there for you even if they hardly know you. They are people I could count on no matter what.

I will miss the "maria's" -an exclusive club that you have to pay two paychecks for. hee hee
